Andrew Tate and brother Tristan arrested in Miami moments before boxing event

It has been revealed that Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan were arrested just minutes before they were to host a helmet boxing event in Miami.
The Tates were taken into custody by U.S. Marshals outside the James L Knight Center on Saturday afternoon.
The brothers were arrested following an extradition request from the UK, where they face a total of 59 charges, including rape and human trafficking.
The ongoing charges in the UK accuse Andrew, 39, and Tristan, 37, of abusing women between 2012 and 2015 in an area of north London where they grew up.
The brothers vehemently denied any wrongdoing.
A Department of Justice (DOJ) source told the Daily Mail that the Tates case will be heard at the federal courthouse in Miami on Monday. The Ministry of Justice will also announce the indictment against them.
Andrew and Tristan’s arrest comes just days after the Daily Mail revealed that the brothers met with Republican U.S. Rep. Wesley Hunt in D.C. and attended a party hosted by President Donald Trump’s special envoy Paolo Zampolli.
“Paolo loves Tates, but the rest of the government doesn’t,” a source close to the Trump administration said after their arrests. ‘A good reminder that it’s not fully representative.’

Hours before his arrest on Saturday, Andrew made a sarcastic post about X.
‘The prosecutor reads every tweet I send. They are all corrupt. “Hi Dicott please raid the house,” he wrote.
Andrew also told his followers: ‘If you learn to enjoy all attention, haters will become powerless.’
According to the video he shared on the platform, the accused rapist appears to be partying in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Images obtained by TMZ It shows US marshals handcuffing the Tate brothers outside the event center on Saturday. Agents were seen examining Andrew’s ears and shirt collar while taking him into custody.
Fans gathered outside the event at the time of the arrest were ordered to ‘stand down’ as the investigation progressed.
The brothers were then taken away in the back of unmarked police vehicles.
A Department of Justice spokesperson told the Daily Mail: ‘Today, the US Marshals Service in the Southern District of Florida arrested Andrew and Tristan Tate pursuant to extradition proceedings.
‘These arrests were made pursuant to Department of Justice extradition agreements and law enforcement agreements.’
Bedfordshire Police in the United Kingdom also confirmed the couple’s arrest and stated that they were detained while ongoing legal proceedings in Britain continued.

The Crown Prosecution Service laid 42 charges against Andrew and 17 charges against Tristan.
“Officers from our major crime unit are working closely with the Crown Prosecution Service and both national and international law enforcement as part of this complex investigation,” said Assistant Chief Constable Karena Thomas of Bedfordshire Police.
‘We understand the interest this case will create, but we urge the public not to speculate and allow the legal process to be carried out properly.
‘There is no place for male violence against women and girls and we will continue to work tirelessly to support victims and investigate all reports made to us.’
The Tates family are dual US and British citizens who moved to Romania in 2016.
By championing a lifestyle of luxury and unapologetic misogyny, former professional kickboxers have amassed a following of fans, especially young men and boys.
Andrew and Tristan were arrested in Romania in December 2022 and charged in June 2023 with human trafficking and forming an organized crime group to sexually exploit women. Andrew was also accused of rape.
Romanian prosecutors expanded the case against them in August 2024 to include money laundering, witness intimidation and complicity in child trafficking.

British prosecutors presented their own charges against the brothers in May 2025, including rape, actual bodily harm and human trafficking.
Romanian courts decided that the couple should be extradited to the UK once the cases in Romania are concluded.
The Bucharest appeals court ruled against sending Tates to trial in 2024 and sent the case back to prosecutors after removing from the file several pieces of evidence “deemed inadmissible”, including initial statements from the alleged victims.
Prosecutors are still investigating the first case, but in 2024 they opened a second criminal investigation into Tates and four other suspects on suspicion of forming an organized crime group, human trafficking, trafficking of minors, sexual intercourse with a minor and money laundering.
The Tates family flew from Romania to Florida in February 2025 after authorities lifted the travel ban; This was reversed following pressure from the Trump administration. Trump told reporters he “didn’t know anything about it.”
ProPublica later reported that a White House official intervened to have federal agents return the electronic devices seized from the brothers upon their arrival in Florida.
This week’s meeting was not Zampolli’s first encounter with the brothers. She and Andrew were spotted together on the sidelines of the Milken Institute Global Conference in May, and the two recently recorded a lengthy interview together.

Andrew Tate has over 10 million followers on X but has been banned from platforms such as YouTube, TikTok and Instagram for violating hate speech rules.
His most condemned rhetoric includes comments that women who are sexually assaulted should bear some responsibility for the attacks, graphic descriptions of how he might attack women, and criticisms of people seeking treatment for mental illness.
