‘Andrew told Met to dig up dirt on Virginia’ and ‘Virginia’s revenge’

The Daily Mail publishes two “royal bombshells”. The first is the claim that “Epstein set up Prince with a second sexual abuse victim” and the second is “Andrew told Met to dig up dirt in Virginia”. There were “calls for a police investigation” because “an email was written revealing that he had obtained private data for the smear campaign”.
The Sunday Telegraph echoes the Mail and relies on the Mail’s reporting for its headline: “Andrew tried to dig up dirt on Giuffre.” The prince “asked his taxpayer-funded police guard to investigate his sexual abuse accuser,” she writes. Meanwhile, former Prime Minister Tony Blair has called on Chancellor Rachel Reeves to “cut the 40p tax rate”, according to The Telegraph. This puts him “at odds” with Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
The Sunday Mirror also has a special exclusive on Royal. It is stated that the “revelations” in the book written by Virginia Giuffre after her death were the last straw for King, and they are called “Virginia’s revenge”. Ms. Giuffre claimed she was forced to have sex with the prince three times in 2001, when she was 17, at the London home of Ghislaine Maxwell, his partner accused of grooming and sex-trafficking girls by pedophile financier Epstein. The prince made a payment through an out-of-court settlement in 2022 to Ms. Giuffre, who had filed a civil lawsuit against him. He denies all the charges against him. Ms. Giuffre died by suicide earlier this year.
The Daily Star details the “bombshell claim in Virginia Giuffre’s final memoirs” in which Prince Andrew insisted she “sign a gag order to avoid embarrassing Queen Elizabeth”.
“Andrew sabotages Fergie party,” says The Sun in other Royal-exclusive news on Sunday in “new Royal shock.” Sarah Ferguson’s ’66th birthday bash’ for Prince ‘cancelled as Epstein crisis grows’
The Observer’s front page features an excerpt of former BBC Newsnight presenter Emily Maitlis’ interview with Prince Andrew. “He lied to me about Epstein,” the headline reads.
The Sunday Times also has a royal story saying Prince William “wants to go further against Andrew and will bar him from the coronation when he becomes king.” The paper follows up on the ongoing Chinese spy case, saying the “spy suspect was stopped with a bag of cash” after flying from China to Heathrow. It is also alleged that Laure Ferrari, partner of Reform UK leader Nigel Farage, was “involved in a criminal investigation involving allegations of fraud” at the think tank where she served as executive director.
“Thousands of perverts will be released from prison early,” writes the Sunday Express. “Labour’s sentencing change ‘puts the public at risk’,” they say.
