Today is the day our seventh Prime Minister took office after 10 years. Andy Burnham has quickly become the great chameleon of British politics. During her coronation speech on Friday, Burnham looked at her notes 266 times. Not being able to deliver a speech true to one’s beliefs does not bode well for any political leader, especially one who is about to become Prime Minister without the slightest scrutiny.

By doing this, he showed the country that he was not a man who could bring about serious, radical change. He told us he did this for the title, not for the courage of his convictions.

After making six single U-turns during the Makerfield by-election and dodging any serious media scrutiny since first announcing her plans, it’s hard for anyone to know what Burnham’s agenda for this country really is. But the only thing that is certain is that it will continue as usual.

More taxes, more border chaos, more Europe and an extra £10 billion in foreign aid; All this without any democratic mandate. That is why, unlike the Conservatives who have little interest in electoral battles these days, we are calling for an immediate general election.

Burnham should set up his stand, present it to the British people and let us decide the future of our country.
