PoK Protests Turn Deadly: One Killed As Rival Groups Clash Over JKJAAC Demands | World News

Witnesses, as stated by Dawn News, claimed that the members of the ‘Peace Rally’ opened fire on JKJAAC protesters without provocation. A 30 -year -old owner of a pottery shop named Mohammad Sudheer was shot by a bullet, and he succumbed to excessive bleeding after he was hurried to hospital.
Another wounded tradesmen claimed that Majeed’s convoy members attacked the demonstrators while trying to force a way for cars. Witnesses also said that the police and paramilitary personnel claiming to protect the ‘peace rally’ used tear gas and fire at JKJAAC demonstrators. Spending bullets were shown as evidence by individuals in the hospital.
The essence of protests: Uncombated demands
The protests that started on subsidized flour and electricity supply two years ago became a 38 -point charter of JKJAAC, a Federation of Trade and Civil Society Organizations.
Some of the main demands:
Reserve Sofa: The abolition of the chair of the parliamentary parliament for refugees.
Elite’s privileges: Reverse the privileged status of the Kashmir elite.
Subsidies: Provide a continuous and subsidized flour and electrical source.
SOCIAL SERVICES: To provide free health and training facilities.
JKJAAC blames the government of not honoring a past agreement and curls the new protest.
The region is completely close face -to -face
While all the shops and workplaces are closed and the roads are empty, the reports of a complete shutter in Pok began to emerge. Monday nights continued until the night of Monday, hundreds of JKJAAC leaders, Shaukat Nawaz Mir’in gathered at Lal Chowk in Muzaffarabad, where the crowd appealed to the crowd. Mir urged the protesters to gather again on Tuesday morning to determine the next way of movement.
Rawalakot and Sudhnoti also had rallies showing the general scope of civil unrest.
