ANOTHER poll shows Labour in third behind Reform and Tories as Starmer allies turn on ‘idiot’ rebels ahead of first New Year PMQs

Keir Starmer’s New Year relaunch ran into further trouble today as another poll showed Labor behind the Conservatives and Reform.
More in Common’s research shows the party falls into third place with just 19 per cent, down two points since before Christmas.
The Conservatives were ahead by 23 per cent to one, while Nigel Farage’s rebels were well ahead on 31 per cent.
Sir Keir’s grim figures were revealed the day after a YouGov poll showed Labor in third place for the first time.
As we prepare to take the first PMQs of 2026 at lunchtime, this is a fresh blow as civil conflict rages. The prime minister’s allies are hitting back at ‘idiots’ jostling for leadership, amid claims Scottish MPs are pushing for a change at the top.
Nigel Farage mocked Sir Keir this morning after robotically reading his ‘exciting’ speech to the Cabinet yesterday.

The Prime Minister invited cameras in for the start of the meeting, during which he urged ministers to put months of infighting aside and focus on the cost of living crisis.
The cabinet looked at him coldly as he reminded them of a long list of ‘achievements’, such as increasing the minimum wage and offering taxpayer-funded subsidies to help people with their energy bills.
And No 10 was forced to deny reports that Sir Keir’s private secretary Morgan McSweeney had warned ministers that voters thought the Government suffered from a ‘lack of emotion’.
During the long ‘political’ part of the meeting, which focused on the upcoming local elections, the Prime Minister acknowledged that Labor was facing ‘the fight of our political lives’ after a dismal first 18 months.
And he insisted he could shake up opinion polls that show him as the most unpopular prime minister in history.
The latest YouGov poll found 74 per cent of voters disapproved of the Prime Minister’s performance, while just 18 per cent approved.
Even more embarrassing, its net positive rating of minus 56 is broadly similar to the minus 58 recorded for Hamas in the UK.
Mr Farage told a press conference this morning: ‘I’m not even sure he knows what he’s talking about anymore… this is a politically drowning man.’
