Anthony Joshua crash: Steve Bunce on fatal car accident in Nigeria

I was in complete shock when I saw the news that Anthony Joshua was involved in a car crash that killed two people.
I saw this pop up as breaking news on BBC World so I made some searches and unfortunately to my fears it turned out that a close member of the dead men’s team was involved.
AJ always travels with close friends who are part of his team. There are four or five of them, and it could be any of them.
I was with them in Miami just 10 days ago; The dead men, Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele, were present during his fight with Jake Paul. It’s so heartbreaking.
These were not ordinary members of his team, either. These were really close friends and important parts of his backroom team, so there were multiple elements to their relationship with AJ.
We know that Ghami, who runs a gym in London, has been with AJ for about 10 years. He was an integral part of the team as the strength and conditioning coach.
Ayodele has been around even longer. He was a friend who trained with the former world heavyweight champion and was always there for him.
If you do the most basic search on social media, all three will appear together. It always seemed like the three of them were together. That’s what makes all of this so heartbreaking.
