UFC Freedom 250 event made history as the first professional sports event held on the White House lawn. Mixed martial arts fans can now reveal for the first time how the Trump administration and event organizers helped organize the star-studded event.
A two-part documentary, “UFC Fight House: The Making of the Greatest Fight in History,” is currently airing on Fox Nation. The episodic event details the intense planning and logistics behind how the White House managed to host the massive fight, including the construction of ‘The Claw’, which provided seating for thousands of attendees.
The new, exclusive commentary features UFC President and CEO Dana White and President Donald Trump, as well as many of his prominent allies. Reflecting on the importance of what he and his team accomplished, White likened the idea of the event to a Hollywood movie.

“You couldn’t write a better script than this,” White said. “If you scripted this like a movie, it would be a documentary of what actually happened. If this were scripted for a movie, you’d call bullshit about the hundreds of things that happened; it’s pretty amazing. You could never imagine that happening. You could never imagine that we would be asked to do an event at the White House.”
“When President Trump tells you, ‘Let’s do something,’ and you agree, now we have to deliver,” he continued. “There’s nothing we can’t do. You’ve seen the idea of what we want to do. Now it’s reality.”
It took nine months to host America’s 250th anniversary premier sporting event. But Trump said in the documentary that the legacy of UFC Freedom 250 may outlast many Independence Days.

“I think this will be one of the biggest sporting events and maybe one of the biggest events ever,” he said.
Viewing numbers for UFC Freedom 250 appeared to be in line with the organizers’ lofty goals. UFC announced total global audience for the event It was an estimated 34 million people, making it one of the most watched events in sports history. Paramount+ reported that just 17 million viewers watched the event across its platforms in the United States and Latin America, solidifying the event as a groundbreaking success.
White explained his more personal reasons for holding the UFC event at the White House and touched on the country’s war history dating back to the Revolutionary War.
“Americans have been fighting since day one, since the birth of America,” White said. “We fought to gain independence and to build this country. It all started with a fight. So no other sport would make sense to fight on the White House lawn on America’s 250th birthday.”

Fox Nation also takes viewers inside the mind of UFC executive producer Craig Borsari, the “architect” of the Freedom 250 production. At one point in the documentary, Borsari is seen calmly sipping his morning coffee, but he explained that outside of these peaceful moments, preparing for the massive White House event was a constant flow of energy.
“While I enjoy my coffee, the rest of my day is nothing but that,” he said. “When you plan an event of this size, you get a kind of adrenaline rush. You want the adrenaline; you want a little bit of a nervous tension because it keeps you fit. This allows the team to look for every opportunity to make this event an incredible event.”
