AP CM Announces Rs 40K Lease Per Acre Under Amaravati Phase II Land Pooling
Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced a lease of Rs 40,000 per acre for ten years to farmers who offer their land under the second phase of the Land Pooling Scheme in greenfield capital Amaravati. Apart from promising an annual increase of Rs 3,000 in rent, the Prime Minister also agreed to provide crop loans of Rs 1.5 lakh per household, as announced on Saturday.
On April 10, Municipal Minister P Narayana said that in total, 31,150 farmers gave around 34,983 acres of land, including 1,000 acres given under LPS by Pedaparimi village farmers.
Including land acquired from farmers, the southern state has already pooled 54,000 acres in Amaravati. It has already launched the second phase of LPS for another 40,000 acres, starting with 16,666 acres from seven villages in November 2025.
These 40,000 acres are intended to complement the initial 54,000-acre land bank.
Earlier, Narayana had stated that additional pool of land was needed for laying an inner ring road (IRR) around Amaravati, building a railway station, laying a railway line and building an international sports city, among others.
