AP CM to Participate in India-Europe Roundtable Meeting in Run Up to CII Summit

Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is scheduled to attend the ‘Advance Partners for Sustainable Growth-India-Europe Cooperation’ roundtable on Thursday ahead of the 30th CII Partnership Summit to be held over two days from November 14.

The roundtable will focus on the green transition, sustainable innovation and European investments. Later in the day, the CM will hold meetings with delegates from Taiwan, Italy, Sweden and the Netherlands, followed by meetings with representatives of SPP Pumps Ltd, ReNew Power, Balaji Action Buildwell, Murugappa Group, Joule Group and Hero Future Engineers.

In the evening, Naidu will attend the Vizag Economic Zone event followed by a special meeting of the CII National Council. “On Thursday, the Prime Minister will attend the Progress Partners-India-Europe Cooperation for Sustainable Growth. Discussions will focus on the green transition, sustainable innovation and European investments,” an official press release said on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, the CM met Amit Kalyani, vice-chairman of Bharat Forge in Vizag, and reviewed the arrangements for the summit. The summit aims to attract investments worth Rs 10 lakh crore.

Vice President CP Radhakrishnan will inaugurate the summit on Friday. The southern state aims to sign several large-scale agreements in the fields of green energy, IT, electronics, automobiles, aerospace, defense and tourism and position Visakhapatnam as a global trade gateway on the east coast of India.

“Visakhapatnam is all set to host the 30th CII Partnership Summit 2025, jointly organized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is personally overseeing the arrangements to ensure the grand success of the summit,” the statement said. he said.

Through this event, Naidu is determined to convey the message of ‘Invest in Andhra Pradesh’ to the world and the theme of the summit is ‘Partners in Progress-India’s Roadmap to Viksit Bharat 2047’.

Up to 100 foreign delegates are expected to attend the event, which will include round table sessions, thematic discussions, project launches and groundbreaking ceremonies.

Ahead of the event, Naidu started holding meetings with representatives of various companies from Wednesday to showcase investment opportunities across sectors and regions of the state.

Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal will attend the inauguration of the Andhra Pradesh pavilion on the opening day, where businessmen Yusuff Ali, Baba Kalyani and Karan Adani are expected to attend.

The opening session will be followed by a discussion on technology, trust and trade, and in the afternoon, Naidu will explain how artificial intelligence can accelerate the economic growth of Andhra Pradesh in the session ‘AI for Viksit Bharat’.

Andhra Pradesh will later sign an agreement with representatives of Singapore to launch direct flight services between Vijayawada and the city-state, the statement said.

On Friday evening, the CM will attend the ‘Reimagining Public Finance Summit’ organized by Andhra Pradesh Finance Department.

He will later meet the vice chairman of Sanjiv Goenka Group and lay the foundation stone of a new Lulu Mall in Visakhapatnam, followed by a dinner in his honor for company representatives, government officials and guests.

On November 15, the last day of the summit, Naidu will lay the foundation stones of Raymond, Sri City and Indosol projects. He will also hold meetings with delegations from Bahrain, New Zealand, Canada and Japan.

The statement said, “In the afternoon, the World Economic Forum will inaugurate the Frontier Technologies Center, and then the foundations of a Google project will be laid.”

After the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) exchange ceremony, Naidu will address a press conference summarizing the outcome of the summit.
