APT rules Premier League: Man City end dispute over sponsor rules

Manchester City and Premier League reached an agreement on their disagreements on the rules that governed commercial agreements.

The city accepted the rules that regulate the related party transactions (APT).

The club had a legal challenge against the Premier League, claiming that the new rules were “illegal”.

A joint statement, “Neither the Premier League nor the club will make more comments on the subject.” He said.

Last year, after a lawsuit provoked by the club, an independent arbitration panel was found against the aspects of the league’s appropriate arrangements.

The rules were created by the Premier League to prevent clubs from benefiting from commercial agreements with companies linked to the owners who are considered to be “fair market value”.

In November 2024, the majority of the best flight clubs voted to approve of changes in APTs despite City’s opposition.
