Semi attempting U-turn on Florida’s Turnpike led to triple-fatal crash, FHP says

St. Lucie County-Devlet Highway officials said that the semi-tractor trailer, which is a U-turn in Turnpike’s “Official Use” zone of Florida, led to a deadly accident that killed three Southern Florida people on August 12th.

All three were residents of a black 2015 Chrysler Town & Country minibus, while the Blue 2024 International semi -tractor trailer was said to have two California aged 25 and 28 years listed as residents of the trailer.
Explaining what was happening in the accident, the road officials, Monday at 15:00 just before Minivan and Semin went north on Turnpike, he said.
According to FHP, the big truck, which attracted a box trailer, was in the outer lane and tried a U -turn along the Turnpike.
As the semi -tractor trailer passed the “travel ribbons to the north” to make U -turn on the way to access, the agency said that the miniva in the inner lane “could not avoid” and collided on the left side of the trailer and bored.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, both passengers in the Minivan flew to the Hca Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce, who died less than 15:15, and then died just before their injuries.
In the afternoon of Wednesday, the road officials reported that some of those who died in the accident have not yet contacted family members.
