Standoff in Rose Hill ends after 6 hours

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The shooting in Rose Hill ended about six hours after it began Wednesday morning.

The Rose Hill Police Department responded to a domestic violence call in the 1600 block of N. Main just after 6 a.m.

Police said the victim was found safe but believed the suspect was armed when he refused to answer the door.

Officers obtained a search warrant and the Butler County Tactical Response Team responded and was able to enter the home.

The suspect was arrested around 12:30 a.m. on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery, aggravated criminal damage, and battery DV.
