Ariana Grande is ambushed by fan at Wicked: For Good premiere as Cynthia Erivo leaps in to protect her co-star

Ariana Grande was ambushed by an overzealous fan while walking the red carpet at the Singapore premiere of her new movie Wicked: For Good on Thursday.
The 32-year-old actor was walking next to his co-star Cynthia Erivo, 38, and bravely jumped in front of him as he ran towards them.
In the video, which was widely shared online, the man can be seen attacking Ariana and putting his arm around her as she tried to escape at Universal Studios.
Cynthia, who plays Elphaba in the movie, tried to stop him by jumping between her friend and the man in front of security, and he was apparently yelling something at her.
Moments later, a group of security guards at the event ushered her away, and a visibly shaken Ariana was comforted by her friend Cynthia.
He was wearing a white t-shirt and shorts and had his distinctive long black hair with blue dyed streaks.

The 32-year-old actress was walking next to her co-star Cynthia Erivo, 38, and boldly jumped in front of Ariana as the man ran towards them.
He was quickly identified as red carpet crash celebrity Johnson Wen, also known online as the Pajama Man.
He shared videos of celebrities including Katy Perry, The Weeknd and electronic duo The Chainsmokers after calling them similarly during their concerts.
Wen shared clips of the moment on her Instagram Story and wrote: ‘Dear Ariana Grande Thank you for letting me Jump on the Yellow Carpet with You.’

‘I just got out there and the moment it was taken over I was in big trouble,’ he said of the invasion in India.
Wen, who is unemployed and last known to have been living in a backpacker hostel, is said to have been fined $20,000, according to the publication.
At the time, she said she planned to stop disrupting red carpets and stages, saying: ‘I plan on quitting forever because you get in a lot of trouble for that, especially me, because I’ve done it so many times.’
Following the incident, Ariana appeared shaken and was seen taking deep breaths as she walked the carpet alongside Cynthia.
Ariana has previously spoken out about struggling with PTSD after her concert in Manchester was bombed in 2017, killing 22 people.

Speaking nine months after the bombing, Scooter told the Big Questions podcast with Cal Fussman how Ariana cried ‘for days’ after the attack.
He said: ‘He was very sad when he found out his fans had died.
‘He cried for days, felt everything; Every face he announces, every name he wears on his sleeve. There’s every ounce of emotion because that’s who he is.’
He recalled that the pair’s visits to family in the days after the attack were “the hardest two hours of either of our lives.”
‘After the first family I had to help him with he was miserable and I was lost too. It was beyond difficult. But every time we came down we reminded each other that we had to go home.
‘Our loved ones will still be there. That mother will never come home, that daughter will never come home, that son will never come home, that father will never come home.’
