Arnold Schwarzenegger, longtime girlfriend Heather Milligan make rare appearance

Arnold Schwarzenegger turned heads when he appeared with his longtime girlfriend Heather Milligan in Vienna on Tuesday, one of the couple’s rare public appearances.
The 78-year-old action star and former California governor took to the world stage alongside Milligan, 51, at the Austrian Earth Summit.
Schwarzenegger and Milligan posed for photos with former Vice President Kamala Harris, Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen and Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker at the event.

Although Schwarzenegger is regularly seen on red carpets, conferences and public appearances around the world, his relationship with Milligan has remained largely under the spotlight, even though the couple has been together for more than a decade.

The couple was spotted together at an Oktoberfest event in 2025 and at the season 2 premiere of Schwarzenegger’s Netflix show “Fubar.”

Their latest appearance offered a rare look at the woman who first entered Schwarzenegger’s life not through Hollywood but through physical therapy.

Milligan was helping the actor recover from a shoulder injury before becoming his long-term partner.
The couple first met in 2012, after Schwarzenegger had shoulder surgery while preparing to shoot the movie “Escape Plan” with Sylvester Stallone.
Stallone reportedly recommended Milligan, an accomplished physical therapist, to help his co-star get back into fighting shape.

Years later, Schwarzenegger revealed that he still credits Milligan with helping him stay healthy.
“Heather Milligan is not only my girlfriend, but she is also a great physical therapist, if not the best in the world,” Schwarzenegger said during an appearance on the Pump Club YouTube channel in 2024.

“That’s actually how we met. He fixed my shoulder, but we’re not here to talk about our relationship, we’re talking about physical therapy here. And since he’s treated people, thousands of patients: football players, basketball players, UFC fighters, boxers, track and field athletes, little kids, old kids, anyone and everyone, I’m talking thousands of people, he knows how to take care of joints.”
The actor split from ex-wife Maria Shriver in 2011 after more than two decades of marriage. The former couple has four children: Katherine, Christina, Patrick and Christopher. Schwarzenegger is also the father of Joseph Baena, whom he shares with former maid Mildred Patricia Baena.
