Around 20k people expected at Horatti’s felicitation  in Hubballi as he completes 45 years as MLC

Approximately 20 thousand people, including teachers, are expected to attend the congratulatory program to be held in Hubballi on December 13 for the Chairman of the Karnataka Legislative Council, Basavaraj Horatti, on the completion of his 45th year in the MLC.

Shankranna Munavalli, chairman of Basavaraj Horatti Celebration Committee and director of KLE Society; Rajanna Koravi, Secretary; MLAs NH Konaraddi and Mahesh Tenginakai; MLC Pradeep Shettar; Former MLC Mohan Limbikai, in a joint press conference in Hubballi on Friday, revealed the details of the mega felicitation program to be held at the Nehru Stadium in Hubballi.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, Speaker UT Khader, Union Ministers Pralhad Joshi and HD Kumaraswamy and former Chief Ministers and Ministers are expected to attend the program to honor Mr. Horatti.

Mr. Munavalli said that Mr. Horatti will be brought to the event area with a cortege from Lamington School to the stadium and that they expect approximately 20,000 people to attend the program.

Mr. Konaraddi and Mr. Tenginakai said that Horatti’s contribution to the State politics and education field was immense and leaders from all political parties and eminent personalities from different sections of society joined hands to congratulate the veteran leader.

Swarnaa Group of Companies Managing Director VSV Prasad and others were also present.

A number of preparatory meetings have already been held to ensure the successful execution of the celebration programme. All political party leaders and most of the legislators are expected to attend the felicitation programme, as they will be in Belagavi for the legislative session that will begin on December 8.
