Artemis II blasts closer to the far side of the Moon

In an emergency, the fastest way home in the first 36 hours after TLI is a U-turn. Orion program manager Howard Hu said before launch that from now on, retracing the route around the Moon and returning to Earth could be just as fast and often simpler.
