Israeli President Herzog is here to offer solace to those devastated by the Bondi massacre. Meanwhile, in Gaza, the IDF was busy bulldozing a cemetery containing the graves of Australian soldiers.
Satellite images show the destruction of the War Cemetery in Al-Tuffah, Gaza City, where more than 3,000 Australian, British and other allied soldiers from the two world wars are buried or commemorated.
The graves of more than 100 allied soldiers (mostly Australians) killed in the Second World War were destroyed.
Accordingly the Middle East Monitor, The destruction first appeared in images from 2024. The former caretaker of the cemetery said:
“Two bulldozing operations were carried out. First, a surrounding olive grove was razed. Then, just under 1,000 square meters of area inside the walls, including the graves of Australian soldiers, were bulldozed. This area was used to build earthen barriers.”
Israel claimed the cemetery was an “active battlefield.”
