Two large fires broke out in Ashby, Leicestershire, while a huge cloud of smoke was visible from miles away. Emergency services are attending both fires and the road is closed on Smisby Road, which runs through the town.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service and Leicestershire Police mobilized staff. The fire service urged people to avoid the area and be prepared for delays if they drive. The causes of the fires are currently unclear.
