Ashwini Vaishnaw inaugurates Optiemus’ tempered glass factory entailing ₹870 crore investment

Union Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw opened a tempered glass screen protectors factory in Noida on August 30, 2025 Saturday with Optiemus Infracom’s La 870 Crore.

At the beginning of this month, the company launched the Rhinotech-Hintech-Hinter Glass Screen Protectors using glass-based glass designed by US-based Corning.

Optiemus Infracom invested 70 Crore with 25 million installed capacity per year in the first stage of the factory and provided direct employment to more than 600 people.

“Optiemus, the new jewel in the country’s fast -growing electronic production ecosystem in the country. At the end of this year, the production of closed glass will begin.” He said.

Minister, Optiemus’ research team should consider increasing the increase of 40 to 400, he said.

Optiemus President Ashok Kumar Gupta said in the second stage that the company will scale the capacity for local and global markets for 200 million per day a year and create more than 4,500 direct business opportunities with an additional investment of 800 Cro Crore.

He said that the advanced screen protection developed with glass for the first time in India for the first time in India would be produced locally and will be available for both domestic and international markets.
