The violent collision this morning caused significant delays and led to huge queues forming near London airport.

The crash happened just after 5.30am northbound on the M23 between Crawley junction 10 and Gatwick junction 9.

Large queues form on the highway as emergency services are at the scene on Thursday, April 2.

National Highways has warned of extended delays as the closure is expected to continue for several more hours.
