Steve Martin leads tributes as Diane Keaton is remembered by Hollywood after death at age 79

Diane Keaton is being remembered by Hollywood friends and colleagues following her shocking death at the age of 79 on Saturday.

Steve Martin paid a special tribute to the late actor after the pair previously starred together in 1991’s Father of the Bride and its sequel four years later.

The actor hopped on X to share the black-and-white photo of Keaton, also simply writing, “Loved.”

Martin then added ‘La dee da, la dee da’, a famous line from Keaton’s 1977 film Annie Hall.

Mandy Moore also remembered Keaton; 18 years after the two stars worked together on the 2007 romantic comedy Because I Said So.

The actress wrote next to a photo of herself in the film: ‘They say don’t meet your heroes, but I worked with one and even called her ‘mom’ for a few months. ‘An honor of a lifetime.’

‘I can’t tell you how unbearably sad this makes me. He was hilarious and lacked any guile or competitiveness one would expect from such a star. What you saw was who he was… ah, la, lala!’

Goldie Hawn also attended and gave an emotional tribute to her former co-stars and former friends.

The heartbreaking post continued: ‘We decided to grow old together and one day maybe live with all our girlfriends. We never actually lived together, but we grew old together. Who knows…maybe in the next life.

‘Shine the fairy dust there darling,’ she wrote. ‘I will miss you very much. My heart goes out to your beautiful children Dex and Duke. I love you.’
