Two arrested during demonstrations outside Canary Wharf hotel
Metropolitan police said two people were arrested at Britannia Hotel in Canary Wharf.
More than 100 people against recent anti -immigrant demonstrations were against racism at the hotel in London.
They gathered as part of the demonstrations of ‘defending refugees, stopping the right’ in England on Friday.
Approximately 100 protests gathered in the venue and many of them shouted, “Stop boats,” while many of them shake the union flag.
Officers also brought conditions for the group that protested against the use of the hotel to host asylum seekers.
The force published in X: “Officers made two arrests in Canary Wharf.
“A person who protested against the use of the hotel by asylum seekers was arrested after a bottle was thrown into the officers.
Bir A member of the counter protest group was arrested for not being able to lift a face cover.
“In order to prevent serious disorder in the protests in Canary Wharf, we applied conditions using the public order law.
“The group, who protested against the use of the hotel by asylum seekers, was instructed to remain in front of the blue stack on the sidewalk opposite Britannia Hotel.”
Duzines were accompanied by a large number of police officers and “never again: Remember History, War with Fascism” and “Refugees Welcome”.
There was a heavy police at the scene.
The other opposing protectors wore cross flags wrapped around St George’s shoulders or neck and wore a handful of full face coverings. A counter protester opened a flag of Israel.
Police chiefs warned that if the unrest exploded in a series of anti -immigrant protests planned in asylum seekers, they are ready to mobilize important and expert resources ”.
The National Police Chiefs Council (NPCC) works with powers throughout the country and follows intelligence to prepare for a new wave of protest on Friday, and the demonstrations have been planned to 14 hotels throughout the country.
