Trump to start TikTok sale talks with China, he says, with deal ‘pretty much’ reached | TikTok

Donald Trump said he would start talking about a possible Tiktok agreement with China on Monday or Tuesday.

The United States President said that the US has made an agreement on the sale of Tiktok Short-Video application.

“I think we’ll start on Monday or Tuesday … Maybe one of the president Xi or representatives – but we almost have an agreement,” he said.

Trump also said that he could visit Xi Jinping in China or that the Chinese leader could visit the USA.

Last month, the two leaders invited each other to visit their own country.

Trump extended a deadline until September 17th to the Chinese -based Bay, Tiktok, a social media application with 170 million users in the United States last month.

This spring had made an agreement to transform Tiktok’s US operations into a new US -based company, and was waiting after the majority of the US investors, operated by US investors, but did not follow Trump’s upright tariffs on Chinese goods.

Trump said on Friday, the US should probably make an agreement approved by China.

When Beijing was asked how confident that he would accept an agreement, “I don’t trust myself, but I guess. President Xi and I have a great relationship and I think they are good for them. I think the agreement is good for China and good for us.”

Trump’s June extension was the third executive order to delay Tiktok’s ban or sale, and he pointed out 90 days to find a buyer or to be banned in the United States.

Trump’s first executive order that gave Tiktok a Reprieve took his first day after the Supreme Court decided to protect the ban. In April, Trump released his second executive order. The deadline for sales or prohibition was determined for June 19. Now, Tiktok exists until September.

In a statement published on the same day, Tiktok thanked Trump and JD Vance. “We are grateful to the leadership of President Trump,” he said, and Tiktok said, “He will continue to work with Vice Vice Office,” he said.

Democratic Senator Mark Warner, Vice President of the Senate Intelligence Committee, accused Trump by removing the law by an executive order.
