These changes require that the exemption of “minimis” exemption for goods that come below $ 800 (about an A1200) below $ 800 (about A1200) and the pre -payment of tariffs before the incoming products.

Temporary suspension will affect the retail customers who send goods through the MyPost, and the Postal Network.

Gifts, letters and documents under $ 100 (about A150 $) are not affected.

The Australian post is not the only postal operator that pauses operations to the United States.

The postal services in Europe suspended most of the parcel shipments to the US, including France’s La poste, Germany’s Deutsche Post, Spain’s Correos, Poste Italian and Belgium, Sweden and Danish postal services.

Austria is expected to stop sending parcels to the US by the end of August, Austria’s Royal Post and Britain’s royal mail.

Meanwhile, the Australia Post is working on a solution for business customers with the third -party provider of US Customs and Border Protection.

Gary Starr, General Manager of Australia Post Parcel, Post and E -commerce Services, said he was working on a quick solution.

“We were disappointed that we had to do this action,” he said.

“However, because of the complex and rapidly developing situation, a temporary partial suspension is required to allow us to develop and practice a applicable solution for our customers.

“The Australian Post continues to work with the US and Australian officials and international postal partners to continue mail service to the USA.”

It is believed that Australian businesses can send parcels to the USA with more expensive commercial models such as DHL and Fedex.

The temporary partial partial suspension of the Australian Post includes parcels to Porto Rico because it is the US Customs Region and is also affected by tariff changes.

The postal goods sent to the US and Porto Rico on Tuesday or after August 26 will not be accepted by the Australian post until the next announcement.

Australia post comes only one day after the announcement that it will hire a 3500 -season team member before the intense Christmas period.
