Teenager’s sentence for killing Bhim Kohl to be reviewed

The Court of Appeal will review the punishment given to a young child who is convicted of killing Bhim Kohli, who was attacked, slapped with a shoe and is racially abused while walking his dog.
Bhim Kohli called for help when he was attacked at Braunstone Town Franklin Park, near Leicester on September 1, 2024.
The next day he died with spinal cord damage and broken ribs.
In June, Mr. Justice Turner punished a 15 -year -old child who punched and kicking Mr. Kohli for seven years, and punished a 13 -year -old girl who encouraged the attack by pulling some of the three -year youth rehabilitation order.
Both children, who could not be named because of their age, rejected their crimes, but were sentenced by a jury in Leicester Crown Court.
Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, the case will be reviewed unjustly within the scope of the sentence plan, he said.

“Attorney, Lucy Rigby Kc deputy, an innocent man was horrified because of this violent, coward attack.
“At this difficult time, he wants to express his deepest sympathy for Bhim Kohli’s friends and family.
“After a detailed examination of the case, the lawyer concluded that the sentence of the 15 -year -old child could be directed to the appeal court.
“The Court will determine whether the penalty has been increased.”
Mr. Kohli’s daughter said that he was “angry and disappointed ve and added that his sentences believe that he did not“ reflect the seriousness of the crime they committed ”.
