Australia added to tsunami advisory list after 8.8 magnitude earthquake strikes Russian coast

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center added Australia to the Advisor of Australia after an earthquake from the Eastern Russia coast.
The earthquake hit Aest at 2 hours 9.24 in the east-southeast of Russia and triggered the tsunami warnings around the world.
Warnings extended to Japan, Hawaii, North and South America, Alaska, South East Asia, Guam and all Pacific Islands.
A spokesman for a meteorological office, said there is no threat of tsunami for the country.
“The common Australian Tsunami Warning Center evaluated the incident in the Pacific and there is no threat to the islands,” he said.
“As the JATWC will continue to watch and evaluate as the situation develops.”

New Zealand issued warnings to residents living in the coastal areas and advised them to stay away from the beaches and the shore.
The National Emergency Management Agency said there was no reason to evacuate unless the authorities were ordered by the authorities.
The affected areas are located on the west coast of the North Island from Cape Reinga to Raglan and Hawera to Whanganui, including the western coast of Auckland and Manukau Port.
Other threatened areas include Cape Reinga to the northern island of Northern Island, Whangarei, Grand Barrier Island, Eastern Coast of Auckland, Waiheke Island, Waitemata Port, Tauranga, Whakanga, Opotiki, Gisborne, Napier, Lake Ferry, Welington South Coast and Wellingon Harbor.
