140 courses over the UTS faculties for ‘suspend’

A large university announced its plan to “temporarily suspend” in six faculties.

UTS, In a media broadcastHe said that the courses suspended for the new purchase are courses with low student records.

“We want to make sure that our curriculum is about what students and employers need,” he said.

Design and community faculty seems to be the most difficult hit, but the business school, engineering and IT, health, law and science are also on the list.

This temporary suspension has no effect on existing students and is for new students for only 2026.

The university said:

Following the consultation with the personnel and trade unions through the proposal process, the suspension processes will be in force until a decision is made about the future of these courses.

UTS is one of the few universities of Australia, which recently marked restructuring, including business cuts.
