Trump’s envoy courts Pope Leo with a choc birthday cake

Donald Trump’s new Ambassador of the Vatican, a right -wing Catholic, criticized the Late Pope Francis, tried to sweeten his diplomacy with Pope Leo and gave the new Pontiff a chocolate birthday cake.
Brian Burch gave the first US Pope Leo, Leo, a cake made by the Chicago region dinner chain to officially provide diplomatic identity information as part of a meeting in the Vatican’s Apostolic palace.
Originally chosen from Chicago and Francis in May, Leo is 70 years old on Sunday.
It came from Portillo’s, a popular local chain, known for its cake decorated with red happy years, especially with sausage sandwiches, Italian beef and barbecue ribs.
Burch was often the critic of Francis, who led the 1.4 billion -member church for 12 years.
He said the pastoral agenda, such as meeting LGBTQ Catholics of Late Pope, caused “great confusion”.
When a Papal advisor nominated him last year, Trump claimed that the Vatican could refuse to accredit Burch that the Vatican did not do.
Leo laughed when he was presented with a cake on Saturday.
Bur Portillo sent you, Bur Burch said to Pope, according to the note video.
Leo replied: “And you brought it”.
