Australian gov spending millions supporting Elon Musk’s X

Elon Musk’s X is currently mass producing deepfake images of women and children, undressing them and depicting them in sexual situations without their consent. Some of these images reportedly reach the level of criminal child sexual abuse material.

Despite widespread reports of this content, the Australian federal government has no plans to stop spending millions of taxpayers’ dollars advertising X, using it as an important, sometimes private, form of communication.

A Prime Minister’s spokesman said the government was “committed to restricting access to nudification tools in Australia” but did not answer questions about why it continues to financially support what is now the world’s most visited deepfake porn platform.
