Austria Draw With Algeria in Thriller To Reach Last 32

Kansas City: Austria salvaged a 3-3 draw with Algeria in their final World Cup Group J game after a thrilling final that included two stoppage-time goals; This result placed both teams in the Round of 32 and eliminated Iran from the tournament on Saturday.
Argentina is at the top of the group, while Austria came second and will face Spain in the knockout round. Algeria progressed as one of the best third-place teams and will face Switzerland.
Austria opened the scoring through Marko Arnautovic before Algeria equalized before the break thanks to Rafik Belghali.
The sides scored again at the beginning of the second half, leaving the match level and entering the closing stages, while Marcel Sabitzer scored for Austria and Riyad Mahrez scored for Algeria.
Mahrez tried to win the match for Algeria with the goal he scored in the 93rd minute, but Sasa Kalajdzic made a dramatic fight by equalizing for Austria in the 96th minute.
