Author Raynor Winn is accused of producing or providing misleading information about some of the best -selling book The Salt Path.

The 2018 book and the latest film adaptation told the story of a couple who decided to walk after their houses were reorganized on the way to the South West coast of 630 miles.

Proposed an investigation of the observer Winn’s husband’s illness and the couple’s loss of their homes, some of the allegations of events were represented wrong.

Winn described the observer’s article as “extremely misleading” and added that the couple received legal advice and that the book was “the true story of our journey”.

Here are what we know so far:

WHAT IS SALT ROAD?

Gillian Anderson played Winn in Salt Path’s film adaptation.

The Salt Road has sold more than two million copies since its release in March 2018, and a film adaptation of Gillian Anderson and Jason Isaacs was published earlier this year.

In the book, Winn said that her husband Moth lost a significant amount of money after making a bad investment in a friend’s business, and that he left responsible for his debts when the company failed. He said it was ultimately caused the couple to lose their homes.

At the same time, Winn wrote, moth was usually diagnosed with corticobazal degeneration (CBD), a life expectancy of six to eight years.

After Winn was homeless with him and the moth were diagnosed with CBD, the couple decided to go on the south -west coast in 2013.

At the end of the couple, the book documents that the 630 -mile road walks, that it has a small amount of money in weekly tax loans every week and that she has wild camp every night.

He also defines physical exhaustion, the rewarding nature of the walk and his interactions with people along the way.

The book ends with the couple’s new start with the new accommodation offer. As a result of the walk, Winn says that her husband’s health has healed and now lived for 12 years since the diagnosis.

Winn has written two more books since the salt path, both of which focused on walking, nature, homelessness and wild camp themes, and will be the fourth to be published later this year.

What does the observer’s investigation claim?

The investigation claims that the couple lost their home in Northern Wales, not a bad business agreement, as suggested at the beginning after Winn’s employer was defrauded at £ 64,000.

The couple reportedly borrowed £ 100,000 with a 18% interest from a remote relative to pay back the money accused of stealing.

The observer said that the couple’s mortgage on the same property is £ 230,000, that is, united debts exceed the value of the house.

Later, the couple’s house was reportedly re -published after the lawsuit was sued to save the money they were borrowed.

The observer added that the couple is a host in France. However, he said that the property has been in an uninhabitable state for a while and that the villagers had never stayed at home, but that they would stay in the caravans on land.

Considering the long survival of the diagnosis, the lack of acute symptoms and the ability to reversed them, he said that he spoke to medical experts who were skeptical about having CBD.

He also reports that Raynor and Mith Winn are not the real names of the couple.

After the observer’s article was published, Charity PSPA, who supported people with CBD and works with Raynor and Moth Winn, said, “He’s remained unanswered right now,” he said. “He decided to terminate our relationship with the family”.

Winn was also withdrew from The Saltlines Tour, who will see that he had read the readings with Gigspanner Big Band during a series of UK History.

A statement from Winn’s legal team is deeply upset that the author is deeply upset that he was disappointed to participate in the Saltlines Tour, but this process will not participate while continuing, “he said.

How did Raynor Winn answer?

“Today’s observer article is quite misleading.

“We receive legal advice and we will not make any more comments right now.”

The expression continued: “The salt path leaves the physical and spiritual journey moth naked and I completely transform us and change the course of our lives.

“This is the real story of our journey.”

BBC also contacted Penguin, who published the book for a comment.

Behind the film adaptation, production companies, number 9 and the stars of the film Anderson and Isaacs have been contacted for a response. The BBC film, which also helps the film financing and the manager, refused to comment.

The film adaptation $ 16 million (£ 11.7 million) at a worldwide box office. The film has not yet been released in Germany and France, but an agreement is still waiting in the USA, Hollywood trade broadcast according to the deadline.
