Awareness, Early Detection Key To Cancer Control: Minister

Kurnool: Minister of Industry, Commerce and Food Processing TG Bharat stated that awareness is the most effective weapon in controlling cancer and emphasized that the disease can be completely controlled if it is detected at an early stage.

Speaking at an awareness program organized by Bachu Janakiram Foundation on the occasion of World Cancer Day at the municipal council hall on Wednesday, the Minister emphasized the importance of recognizing cancer symptoms, taking preventive measures and undergoing timely screening. In the program organized for cleaning workers, their children between the ages of 9 and 14 were also vaccinated against cancer.
Bharat said there was a strong need to raise public awareness about life-threatening diseases and advised people to opt for regular health check-ups rather than fearing cancer.
