Wet weekend for South Australia, NSW and Victoria as cold front moves across south-east | Australia weather

A powerful cold façade moving in Southeast Australia is expected to bring rain to South Australia and Victoria at the end of Friday and the weekend, but it is not enough to create a serious impact on long -standing drought conditions.
Senior Bom Meteorologist Dean Narramore said that the façade was moved to South Australia overnight and that a rain group moved to the West New South Wales and West Victoria on Friday morning.
Narramore said in a statement on Friday, “This morning, some rainfall in South Australia in the morning is basically in the range of 10 to 20mm, almost North SA, the Eyre Peninsula to the Hills of Adelaide,” Narramore said on Friday.
“Even in the eastern regions of SA, there was five to 10 mm, and since 9 am, all this rain continued in the eastern regions of South Australia and in the Adelaide region”.

In the afternoon Friday, widespread rainfall continued in South Australia and was expected to continue in the evening before moving to the eastern regions of the country at the weekend.
Rain bands in Victoria brought about five to 10 millimeters to the western regions of the province on Friday morning.
Narramore said that until the beginning of Friday, the range was about three to five millimeters west, but it would continue “for hours, and then move to the central and eastern regions of the state on Saturday morning.
“So, many of us should see 10 to 20 mm, some areas are more heavier around Victoria’s central ranges and east gaps.”
Narramore, Southern Australia and Victoria, dry clipping areas for the last 12 to 18 months, and the drought to make a large dent in the drought will need a decrease in a 20 T0 30 similar to Friday.
