‘Ever hear of a blade job?’

Professional wrestling legend and former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura went after Donald Trump again this week, appearing on Piers Morgan.

This isn’t unusual for Ventura, but one of the parts of the interview that made headlines is his accusation of the attempted assassination on Trump’s life in Butler, Pennsylvania, during the 2024 Presidential Election.

“To be fair to Trump, when he got shot, he stood up again and said, ‘Fight, fight, fight,'” Morgan said as the two discussed Trump.

“Oh yeah, right, right, right,” Ventura replied. “Have you ever heard of knife work?”

“Blade job” is a term used in professional wrestling for situations where performers remove themselves from the audience’s line of sight to bleed during a match.

“You think it’s fake?” Morgan replied.

“I don’t know,” Ventura replied. “Where is the scar today?”

Morgan then referenced Corey Comperatore, a Pennsylvania native who was among the crowd that day and was killed during the assassination attempt.

“Someone literally died sitting behind him,” Morgan replied.

“I don’t know,” Ventura said. “You know, come on, Piers. Now you’re going to tell me that this guy is a great hero? Is that what you’re going to tell me?”

“I thought it was that day,” Morgan replied. “That was it that day.”

“Really?” Ventura said. “Really?”

Morgan once again stated that Trump was a hero that day.

“Then he achieved what he asked of you,” Ventura said with a smile.

“No, I think you can be heroic one day and less heroic the next,” Morgan said. “But if you ask me if she was a hero when she was shot, she was.”

“Sure, yeah, yeah, you’re right,” Ventura said. “You know why I feel bad about this? Could we have won if he had joined us in Vietnam, huh?”

“Why did he run and hide when he could have joined us and led us to victory?”

Morgan said he didn’t think anything could change the United States’ fate in Vietnam.

“Yeah, we probably don’t think you’re calling us all suckers, right?” Ventura answered this.

There is no evidence that the assassination attempt on Trump was staged.

“On that tragic day in Butler, Pennsylvania, we tragically lost the American hero Corey Comperatore, who selflessly gave his life to protect those around him.” The following statements were made in the statement made by the White House: “President Trump will never forget Corey and his beautiful family.

The statement continued: “On that dark day, God spared President Trump’s life by a miraculous millimeter.” “President Trump stands stronger than ever as he continues to ‘fight, fight, fight’ for the American people. Only a fool would believe otherwise.”

Ventura isn’t the only one questioning the circumstances surrounding the assassination attempt; Some MAGA-leaning content creators on social media have also been jumping into the fray lately. In fact, the rumors prompted a response from White House communications director Steven Cheung earlier this month.

Cheung shared an X post stating that the assassination attempt was not staged.

“For those of us who were there with POTUS at Butler.” he wrote, “Anyone who says this was actually staged needs to have their head checked because they have no sense of reality.”
