‘King’s historic Congress address’ and ‘Starmer sees off rebellion’
The King’s speech to Congress was “a diplomatic masterclass”, the Daily Mail reported. Elsewhere, the paper focuses on the “Labour revolt” at the vote to direct Sir Keir Starmer to a parliamentary inquiry into the appointment of Lord Mandelson as US ambassador. He reported that although the motion was rejected, the division list showed that 14 Labor MPs rebelled to support the motion.
