BCCI to Protest with ICC Over Naqvi’s Claim of India Being Denied Asia Cup Trophy

Mumbai: BCCI will organize a “very strong protest” at the next ICC meeting in November against Mohsin Naqvi, the Chief of Asian Cricket Council, after refusing to accept it from the Indian team in Dubai.
BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia justified the team that India could not accept the trophy from a person who “war against the country”.
India defeated Pakistan with five small gates in the final on Sunday, and a reconciliation of an unfounded 69 to decide the match player for the summit conflict.
Saikia, “When it comes to the cup, the cup distribution, India can not take the cup from the person who fights against our country.” He said.
“We decided not to accept the trophy, but it does not allow this gentleman to take the cup and medals to the hotel.”
“This is unexpected, very childish in nature and in the first week of November to be held in Dubai ICC meeting with ICC will start a very strong protest with.”
Naqvi is also the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board and the Minister of Interior of his country. Saikia praised the Indian team for their unfavorable runs in the competition.
“He won all seven matches in the Indian group stage. India won all three matches. After that they won matches in the group of four and finally.” He said.
“India won 3-0 from these seven games. This is a great victory and (a) a great jack success for the country.”
In spite of the major criticism of participation with Pakistan on the ground of the terrorist attack, Saikia said that the team followed the policy determined by the Indian government.
“… When a binary tournament is a tournament, India will not play against Pakistan or another hostile countries, and BCCI has been doing it for the last 12 to 15 years.”
“And now the government said in multinational tournaments -a multidimated tournament of the Cup of Asian Cup -or that many countries are an international tournament.
“Otherwise, our other games will suffer or banned by international federations, so we have followed the policy of the central government. We joined the fact that there are some protests or resistance from some neighborhoods.”
Saikia, Pakistan in three matches of this Asian Cup tattoo “Happiness to our people” will bring, he said.
“Today, with this handsome win against Pakistan and 3-0 victory, we will bring a lot of happiness to our people. The country is really proud of the performance of the Indian Cricket team.” He said.
