Beatrice and Eugenie to miss royal family’s Easter church service

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie will not be joining the royal family for the Easter church service this Sunday.

The Press Association understands that, with the King’s approval, Beatrice and Eugenie have made alternative plans and will miss the traditional royal meeting at Windsor Castle.

The decision comes after the former Duke of York was arrested on suspicion of abuse of public office and the scandal surrounding his friendship with pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

The king’s nieces, Beatrice and Eugenie, joined the royal family for Christmas at Sandringham in December.

It looks like they will be at family celebrations in the future.

The King, Queen and other members of the family are preparing to attend the Easter Matins church service in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, as they traditionally do each year.
