Bengal polls: BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul’s car attacked in Asansol, rear windowpanes shattered

The car of BJP candidate Agnimitra Paul was pelted with stones and its rear windows were broken near Rahmat Nagar in Asansol Dakshin Assembly constituency on Thursday, April 23, 2026, police said.

“As I was leaving the voting booth, a stone was thrown at my moving car. The rear window was broken. It is very clear who is behind this. This is an attempt to influence the election,” he told reporters.
