“I live just 10 km away from my office, so this weekend I thought of finding a flat nearby. I was hoping to get a 1 BHK in a gated community as it is safer and has all the amenities,” he wrote.

High Rents Force Plan Change

However, after researching the rental market, he decided not to move due to high prices.

“I have seen the rents. ₹30k-40k for 1 BHK. I have literally given up on the plan to shift gears. I will continue to spend 2 hours a day in traffic,” he added.
He then continued: “After all, I already pay a hundred thousand lira in taxes to the government, I should spend some time on the road.”

Social Media Reactions

His post, highlighting growing frustration with housing costs in the city, resonated with many users online. A user said, “30 thousand for a bhk is a high figure, do they provide high-end facilities, do we earn by paying rent?”
