Bengaluru woman rescued by police seconds before drowning in Bellandur Lake

In a dramatic late-night rescue operation, the Bengaluru City Police rescued a 23-year-old woman who allegedly tried to end her life by walking to Bellandur Lake after prolonged domestic abuse.

The incident took place around 9.23 pm on February 18 near Bellandur police station limits. A 23-year-old woman living in Iblur called the emergency helpline Namma 112 and stated that she planned to end her life due to frequent domestic disputes with her husband, a water tanker driver.
