Betting Stanley Cup Finals Game 6: Hurricanes look to close out Golden Knights with 3-2 series lead

We completed a final last night. Will we get another one?

The New York Knicks are still celebrating, and the East Coast could see another one here if they can get their team to make the Stanley Cup Final. The NBA and NHL have put on great showings and I’m not ready for them to end. Let’s see if we can make some money before the NHL shuts down.

The Carolina Hurricanes are knocking on the door. They cracked it, maybe even pushed it down a little. The question is, can they push this all the way? In the zig-zag series, the Hurricanes zig-zagged for zig-zag, winning Game 5 on their home ice and taking a 3-2 lead into Game 6. Nobody wants to play Game 7, but at least they get another shot at it if they’re going to fail.

The team changed their goalkeeper and that seems to have made the difference. Brandon Bussi came on in Game 4 and scored five goals in two games. It’s a bit sad for Frederik Andersen, who brought them here, but you’re trying to win games, not save feelings. In Game 5, the Hurricanes were clearly better and used a two-goal second period to win the game comfortably.

The Vegas Golden Knights have their backs against the wall. This was the first time they faced elimination from any play-offs as they managed to win their first two series in six games. They then knocked Colorado out of the playoffs when they played the Avalanche. It’s hard to know how a team that hasn’t faced adversity in the playoffs will respond to adversity, but Vegas is certainly equipped with enough talent to get the job done.

I mostly wonder what they do as goalkeepers. Carter Hart wasn’t bad by any means, but the Hurricanes aren’t struggling against him either. Hart allowed four goals in the last game, which shows he has allowed four or more goals in all five games. This won’t get the job done. Personally, I think they need to make the switch to give Carolina something different to look at or consider.

It’s not easy to get away from your goalkeeper, and more often than not, it’s the team that makes the changes that gets the reward. The Hurricanes were the ones who made the change in this series, and they were rewarded. Good for them. It may be too late for Vegas because I’m not sure they want to change the goaltender in the playoffs.

We’re going back to the well tonight. We cashed in a ton of tickets in this series and we will play again, but this time we are playing under 6.5. I think this will be a little more conservative than Vegas. Carolina should still be aggressive, but I think Vegas will help out more defensively and try to find space on offense. Give me under 6.5.
