FIR lodged for MCC violation during Prashant Kishor’s campaign in Tejashwi’s Raghopur constituency
Police said Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor had lodged an FIR on Sunday, October 12, 2025, alleging violation of the model code of conduct (MCC) in force in poll-bound Bihar during RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s much-publicised campaign in Raghopur assembly constituency a day earlier.
According to Hajipur Deputy Superintendent of Police Subodh Kumar, the FIR was lodged at Raghopur Police Station in Vaishali district even though Mr. Kishor was not named as the accused.
“Permission for the program was taken by Satendra Prasad Singh. Therefore, his name is mentioned in the FIR filed for MCC violation,” the Deputy SP said without giving further details.
