Bihar students can soon avail interest-free loans: Nitish

Bihar Prime Minister Nitish Kumar announced on Tuesday that interest -free loans will be provided to students under the Bihar Student Credit Card Program.

Previously, up to 4 Lakh training loans were provided to male applicants at a 4% interest rate and 1% interest rate to women who have passed the class 12 exams, different ways and for transgender applicants. Bihar Student Credit Card Program is valid since October 2, 2016.

Mr. Kumar shared the information about the social media platform ‘X’: “I am very pleased to inform you that the training loan given within the scope of the Student Credit Card Plan will be interest for all applicants.

In addition, the reimbursement period for the loan amounts above 2 Lakh was expanded from 84 installments (7 years) to 120 installments (10 years). Our goal is to ensure that many students in the state can continue higher education. ”

Mr. Kumar added that the movement will increase the morale of the students and ensure that they will maintain higher education with more enthusiasm and devotion, so that they will shape the future of the state and the country, not only their future, but also the future of the state and the country.

Janata Dal (United) State President Ush Singh Kushwaha described the announcement as a historical step while addressing the Workers Conference in the Sheikhpura Assembly seat.

He said that this initiative not only provides higher education opportunities for students from economically weak families, but also will strengthen Bihar’s education sector and carry the general development of the state to new summits.
