Megan Thee Stallion RUSHED to the hospital mid-performance of Broadway’s Moulin Rouge musical
Megan Thee Stallion was hospitalized midway through a performance of the Broadway musical Moulin Rouge in New York City on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old rapper, who currently plays the role of Zidler in the production, was taken to a nearby hospital after feeling unwell shortly after the show’s opening scenes.
“During production on Tuesday night, Megan began feeling very ill and was immediately transported to a local hospital, where her symptoms are currently being evaluated,” her rep said in a statement to the Daily Mail.
‘We will share additional updates as more information becomes available.’
The music artist’s hairdresser also contacted X and asked her fans to ‘pray’ for the rapper, whose full name is Megan Jovon Ruth Pete.
“Everyone pray for Megan, we are all in the hospital,” Kellon Deryck wrote, but did not share further details at the time.

Loren Lorosa, producer of The Breakfast Club, revealed on X that Megan appeared in the opening scenes until the show was abruptly stopped.

They stopped the moulin rouge in the middle of the show and apologized to the audience and told them to “stay inside and have a seat.”
Lorosa added: ‘I asked security if we were safe. They told us, “For now, if there is any change, we will inform you.”
Following an announcement at the theatre, she gave an update to share that the show was ‘removing night stallion Meg’.
‘His role was replaced by a black male actor. I’ll get his information because he’s a great guy. We’re safe.. the show goes on without stud Megan.’
Megan began her role as Zidler in the Tony-winning musical last week, March 24, at the Al Hirschfeld Theater in New York City.
The Sweetest Pie hitmaker is scheduled to step into the shoes of the character by May 17.

The star had previously expressed her excitement to perform on the Broadway stage and described it as an ‘honour’.

Producer Carmen Pavlovic added that it was “exciting” to have Megan join the Broadway production.
‘We want our show to end with a spectacular explosion, and Megan is the force of nature that will get us there.’
Pavlovic added, ‘And yes, there will be some music from his own iconic catalogue. ‘This is a can’t-miss moment for both Megan’s fans and our fans.’
The cast of the series also includes Kelsie Watts, Christian Douglas, David Harris and Andre Ward.

The Broadway production is based on the 2001 Baz Luhrmann film starring Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor.
The film was a box office success upon its release and earned eight Oscar nominations, including Best Picture.
Megan is no stranger to the music industry and is known for releasing hits like Hot Girl Summer and Savage.
He has won three Grammy awards so far in his career, including Best New Artist of 2021.
The star has also released three studio albums: Good News (2020), Traumazine (2022) and Megan (2024).
However, the artist recently stated that his Broadway debut was ‘specified’ earlier this month, and revealed that his mother encouraged him to take part in plays when he was younger.
