BJP rejects Mahua Moitra’s ‘egg attack’ claim, blames TMC infighting

Kolkata: Dismissing Trinamool MP Mahua Moitra’s allegations that BJP workers threw eggs at the party office in Nadia district, West Bengal BJP chief Samik Bhattacharya on Wednesday alleged that infighting within the Trinamool Congress was behind such incidents.
Bhattacharya reiterated that egg throwing should be stopped and the TMC leader hiding in his house should come out and work on the ground.
Bhattacharya was speaking on the sidelines of an artificial intelligence platform launched by a group called Business Aladdin.
Bhattacharya’s remarks came after Moitra shared a video on social media claiming that BJP supporters had gathered outside her office in Krishnanagar.
In her video, Moitra claimed that a group was throwing eggs and other objects at the facility and claimed that the West Bengal Police remained silent.

Meanwhile, Trinamool general secretary Abhishek Banerjee condemned the “egg attack” and said in Handle To those who applaud, a confession of insecurity and cowardice: Do not confuse today’s political power with permanent immunity. Every abuse of power leaves a mark, and every act of intimidation is remembered more quickly than many expect.
