Sneha Shah is deals and startups editor at Mint. Beginning his career as a young reporter at Mid-day newspaper in India’s financial capital in the mid-2000s, he later went on to unravel the balance sheets and follow the money trails of some of the country’s leading soap publications. He has been covering India’s deal ecosystem for almost two decades; It closely follows private and public market financing, new ventures, private equity, venture capital and investment banking. From covering some of the biggest deal stories of the past to some in-depth dives into the latest trends and transformations in the industry, he has witnessed the extraordinary growth and transformation of the country’s investment ecosystem up close. The journalism graduate worked with The Economic Times, Financial Chronicle, VCCircle and Mid-Day before starting her second stint at Mint in 2022. A keen observer of India’s startup ecosystem, he aims to one day write a book chronicling some of the most inspiring stories the industry has seen so far in its extraordinary journey.
Priyamvada is a business journalist with Mint, based in Mumbai. He writes about public and private markets, focusing on venture capital, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and private credit. Its scope also includes start-ups and emerging businesses.

Before joining Mint in 2024, he worked at Reuters’ Bengaluru bureau, where he extensively covered the travel, transportation and logistics sectors. In both her roles, Priyamvada has demonstrated a meticulous ability to break news and analyze interesting data-driven trends. He holds a master’s degree from the Asian College of Journalism’s Bloomberg program. In his spare time, he enjoys reading books and trying different cuisines.
