A body was found in the search for a man who disappeared while hiking in the plateaus.

The family of 36-year-old Adam Chalmers, who was reported missing in the Ben Lawers mountain range, has been notified. The body was found in the An Stac area at around 1.25pm ​​on Sunday.

Mr Chalmers’ family said they wanted to thank Police Scotland, Tayside Mountain Rescue, RAF Mountain Rescue and all agencies involved in the searches.

Mr Chalmers was last heard in the Ben Lawers Ranges at 12.40pm on Saturday.

Meall Greigh had planned to scale the munros Meall Garbh and An Stuc and said in his last message that he had one left to complete.
