King Charles will reportedly give police full access to all files on Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor held at Buckingham Palace. The 66-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office on Thursday, which was also his birthday.

This is due to fears about a possible “cover-up” of Andrew’s behavior during his friendship with the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Following his arrest at his temporary home on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, Andrew was questioned at Aylsham police station for 11 hours before being released under investigation. Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing and was not charged following his arrest.

The police will now have the full cooperation of palace staff and the support of King Charles.

The Observer reported that police could view all records, emails and government files related to his role as trade ambassador.

“We said we would cooperate fully and wholeheartedly,” a royal source told the publication.

The warrant came after detectives believed senior palace staff “were aware of what Andrew was doing and covered it up”.

Following his brother’s arrest earlier this week, King Charles issued a statement through Buckingham Palace.

The statement includes the following statements: “What will now come is a full, fair and appropriate process in which this matter will be investigated appropriately and by the relevant authorities.

“As I said before, we have our full and wholehearted support and cooperation on this issue. Let me state clearly: The law must take its own course.”

Detectives now have permission to “pursue evidence,” the Observer reported.
