Boeing criminal case for 737 Max crashes dismissed by judge

On Thursday, a federal judge in Texas ruled at his request. Ministry of Justice dismissed criminal case against Boeing’s More than two crashes of the 737 Max jetliner, although he expressed doubts about whether dropping this prosecution was wise.

Some families of the crash victims had strongly opposed the Justice Department’s move in May to ask Judge Reed O’Connor to dismiss the case in U.S. District Court in Fort Worth.

A total of 346 people lost their lives in two accidents. The first crash of Lion Air Flight 610 in Indonesia occurred in late October 2018, and the second crash of Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 occurred nearly five months later in March 2019.

Ministry of Justice a criminal complaint was filed Boeing in January 2021 with conspiracy to defraud the United States for allegedly obstructing the company’s Federal Aviation Administration evaluation of the Max’s maneuvering capabilities enhancing system.
