Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s youngest daughter Vivienne, 18, files to DROP actor’s last name as she joins older siblings in snubbing the Oscar winner

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s youngest daughter, Vivienne, has filed a lawsuit to have the actor’s surname legally revoked.

Following in the footsteps of her three older siblings, the 18-year-old girl filed a petition in Los Angeles County Superior Court requesting that her legal name be changed from Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt to Vivienne Marcheline Jolie.

According to court documents obtained by the Daily Mail, the reason for the young man’s name change is listed as ‘personal’. The formal hearing is scheduled for November 2.

The petition is just the latest move in Vivienne’s ongoing efforts to distance herself from the Pitt name.

In May 2024, she specifically omitted her father’s surname in the Playbill for the Broadway production of The Outsiders, listing her name as Vivienne Jolie while serving as a producer alongside her mother.

Vivienne, who was born with her twin sister Knox in 2008, is the youngest of the former couple’s six children.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Pitt and Jolie’s representatives for comment.

A source recently told the Daily Mail that Pitt sees the separation from his children as “extremely painful” and “believes Angelina’s role in the way things turned out was the biggest betrayal.”

This comes days after the actor’s daughter Zahara, 21, and son Maddox, 24, released statements announcing their intention to drop Pitt from their last name.

The ads both ran in the Los Angeles Daily Journal throughout June and July.

‘Plaintiff Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt petitions this court for an order changing the names as follows: Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt to Zahara Marley Jolie,’ a notice said.

The other said, ‘Plaintiff Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt petitions this court for an order changing the names to: Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt to Maddox Chivan Jolie.’

The notices both invite opposing parties to attend a scheduled hearing on the matter; Zahara’s is scheduled for September 28th and Maddox’s is scheduled for September 14th.

In the state of California, those who want to legally change their name must file an Order to Show Cause, a document requesting the name change, in a newspaper for four consecutive weeks before the court date.

Zahara’s notice appeared a month after she filed a petition demanding that her new name be Zahara Marley Jolie.

Maddox also filed to revoke the actor’s surname in late May.

Zahara publicly dropped her last name when she joined a sorority at Spelman College three years ago.

Additionally, Zahara chose Marley Jolie at the graduation ceremony, which her father was said to have skipped. TMZ.

‘Nothing stopped him from showing up for her. Or I never visited it. The day was about everything he accomplished. “It’s not whether she’s willing to participate or not,” a source close to Jolie told the publication.

But multiple sources have spoken exclusively to the Daily Mail to defend Pitt, insisting that Pitt is not the absent father he is portrayed as and that he wants a relationship with his six children.

Jolie and Pitt’s other daughter, Shiloh, 20, also dropped the actor’s surname.

Shiloh, born Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt last year, legally changed her name to Shiloh Jolie.

In a statement shared at the time PeopleShiloh’s attorney, Peter Levine, said he “made an independent and important decision following painful events” and added that he was “solely following due process” in issuing notice of the change.

Pitt’s relationship with his 22-year-old son Pax, who previously called his father a ‘first-class scumbag’ and accused him of leaving his younger siblings ‘trembling with fear’, does not appear to be any better, but it is not known whether he has stopped using the name.

Aside from Pax, Vivienne’s twin brother Knox is the only other sibling of the actor who has not officially revealed his last name. Knox and Jolie spotted in 2024

The duo went on to have six children during their high-profile ‘Brangelina’ years before embarking on a bitter eight-year divorce battle that officially concluded in 2024. The picture took place in 2014.

A source previously told the Daily Mail how Pitt felt after Pax was photographed staggering out of the Chateau Marmont with the support of several friends last year.

‘He doesn’t care at all about what Pax does or doesn’t do. [Pax’s] An insider said his actions reflect who he is.

With the death of Pitt’s mother, Jane Etta Pitt, at the age of 84 last year, the division in the family came to the fore once again.

Sources stated that his communication with his grandchildren had been cut off for about nine years and that his grandchildren did not have the opportunity to talk to him before his death.
